Held in London, UK, from June 4th to 6th, 2024. Europe's largest security exhibition, "2024 Infosecurity Europe" (hereinafter Infosecurity Europe), is a major event comprising four main categories: technology, security services, safety, and security equipment. This large-scale exhibiton gathers major security brands and companies from around the world tl showcase and promote their new technologies and products, making it highly significant.
On June 5th, eTUNNEL's marketing team released a video interview featuring Dr. Lee Sangjoon, CEO and head of R&D center of eTUNNEL, at the exhibition. Dr. Lee is recognized as the leading authority in Korea's finger vein recognition technology, based on his numerous research papers, achievements, and field experience. He stated that the finger vein recognition technology, although still unfamiliar to many, garnered significant attention and interest from companies and stakeholders across Europe at Infosecurity Europe, even among seasoned security experts.
In the video interview, Dr. Lee stated, "It was surprising to see that finger vein recognition technology, which is gradually becoming known in Korea as one of the biometric authentication technologies, is still considered unfamiliar and novel in Europe. Particularly in the field of secondary security (a two-step verification process for added safety after initial authentication), using eTUNNEL's finger vein recognition technology can address issues found in other biometric technologies, such as iris, facial recognition, and fingerprints, providing an unclonable and secure biometric authentication system."
At the end of the video interview, Dr. Lee expressed his ambitious vision, saying, "While I am participating in this exhibition as the representative of eTUNNEL, I take pride and responsibility in representing Korea's physical biometric security. With this mindset, I will strive to domniate the European biometric security marktet."
